Eleazer Trust 4th Clothing drive

It is that time of the year again where people enjoy warm fuzzy clothes with hot tea and electric heater warming the room. But this privilege is far from reality for some people. While we try to fend off cold season with whatever means we have, winter is always hard for poor people. With three successful clothing drive in the past years, Eleazer Trust was able to conduct its 4th clothing drive with the help of many generous souls. The clothes are donated by the NGO – Hands that Help and big-hearted individuals from Delhi and Jorhat. The drive began sometime in July-August, concluded in October and dispatched on 24th October. 

This time, the items were sent for distribution to various villages in Haflong area of Dima Hasao district and in Hamren area of West Karbi Anglong district, Assam. The distribution began on 28th October. The donated items are loaded in 11 gunny bags (148 Kg) and 10 cartons of clothes, shoes and other miscellaneous items. 100 masks are donated by Trinayana Cluster Level Federation under Assam State Livelihoods Mission- Kaliapani Development Block to show the villagers the importance of using masks. Below are the names of the villages that received the aid from the 4th Eleazer Trust clothing drive: –
